New Top Level Domain Idea

I imagine somebody else has already thought of this, but I thought it up myself last night before falling asleep (yeah, I've got major issues).

But, what about .blog as a new TLD The big question: would people GO for it would there be a rush on it like there would be if a whole new equivalent to .com opened up I don't think it would be a frantic of a rush as if all of a sudden the entire .com TLD registry were erased and people had to scramble to get the good names... but I bet there would be some decent scrambling. Thoughts

I like it. Good idea. I'm still trying to get the hang of blogging more often. Just figured out how to blog from my smartphone. I hope that will lead to more posts on my blog.
