It's sad that with ALL of the incredible changes to IIS there's one HUGE thing that I think failed miserably in the release of IIS 6.0.
No really... I'm in awe at how stable, scalable, and secure IIS 6 is. What I hate though... is any time I go into any of my machines that I need to manage and pull up the IIS Admin MMC I get the same thing: A crowded little window up in the top left-hand side of the screen. Everytime I open up the Admin Tool I do the same three things: move it more to the center of the screen (hey, I've got 1600x1200 resolution on my Laptop.. and most of that is used by my TermServ window), click-drag the bottom right corner out a bit to take advantage of real-estate (so i don't forget myself and think that I'm 'driving' through my Axim, anddrag the divider between the two panes a bit more to the right... so I can actually see the nodes I want to nav down to.
I know, I know...it's all the MMC's fault. Truthfully, I think that's more of a condemnation than an escape. In other words, it would have been nice if the Windows2003 folks had revisited the MMC to remember a modicum of settings... then they could have fixed this problem not only for IIS, but for all the other tools I use as well.
In other words... GREAT tools, POWERFULL tools, sucky interface.
